Important Information

Check-in and Check-out Procedures

  • Check-in is after 4pm. Check-out is by 10am.
  • Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
  • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. The person reserving is required to sign the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.

Property Access

  • Guests do not have access to the locked off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. These areas are for member use only.
  • All visitors on premise at the winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced.

Policies and Rules

  • No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
  • Minimum age: 25 years.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.
  • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
  • Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs. For information about ATV rentals please visit: offroadadventuresnc.com.
  • Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.)
  • No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement (regarding winter travel conditions).

Fees and Payments

  • This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
  • All Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the amenities.
  • The summer concerts are open to all guests; there is an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.
  • Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each. HOURS: Thur & Fri 4pm-10pm, Sat & Sun 1pm-7pm.
  • Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.

Parking Information

  • Parking is flat and level for 2-3 vehicles. Free parking is included.

Utilities and Amenities Access

  • All Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
  • All homes offer well-stocked kitchens with utensils needed to cook meals. There is a starter set of paper products: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. These items are typically enough for one or two nights. Towels and linens will be provided. Hair dryers are provided.
  • While enjoying your stay at The Roper Retreat, you have access to most amenities inside Eagles Nest. Amenities available include:
    • Great Camp: BBQ Pavilion, Amphitheater (location of summer concerts from May to the end of November), The Great Lawn, Playground, Hiking Trails, Ropes Course and Climbing Tower (seasonal), Mini-Golf Course, 24/7 Dollar General concept store.
    • North Pavilion: Ball Field, Sportsman's Lodge (unlocked portion only), Sports Court (Basketball and Pickleball), Dog Park, Walking Trail, Sportsman's Grille (Wed-Sun. Hours vary), Fire Pit, Woodland Trail System (ATV Trails, Hiking, Biking).
    • Camp (BYO Equipment): Tennis Courts, Pickleball, Disc Golf, Archery (Restrooms and Pavilion coming soon!).
    • Vineyard: Food and Wine served, Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each, HOURS: Thur & Fri 4pm-10pm, Sat & Sun 1pm-7pm.
  • The home includes the following amenities: towels, climate control, cooking basics, bed linens, high-speed internet, washing machine, dryer, stove, oven, hot tub, patio, ironing board and iron, dishwasher, ice-maker, smoke alarm, and carbon monoxide detector.

Safety and Emergency Information

  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.
  • 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (November-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle; chains may also be required if it snows.

Construction and Noise Notice

  • Construction notice: A new home is being built in the Camp Eagles Nest neighborhood where this home is located. Construction noises may be heard Monday through Saturday 7am-7pm.
  • Eagles Nest is a developing community, with construction currently ongoing in several neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday.

Cancellation Policy

  • Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
